First impression score: 85 ~ Fairly interesting start
Personal comments: Because To Aru Majutsu no Index disappointed me so much, I didn't get nearly as excited as many other people did about this anime. Besides, it's a spin-off side story. It's quite unlikely to possess a complicated plot.

I am not excited about this series as I was about the original, mostly because I have read the manga form of this story.
I do have to say that the story for this series is pretty different from the original series, along with different main characters. This is one of the reasons why I'm not very excited about it, but you might like it.
In the most likely scenario, this is going to become one of those drag-along anime which isn't bad enough for me to drop it, but then after finishing it, I wish that I have dropped it.
