Personal comments: This opening episode is very well made. It didn't bother to waste any time before jumping right into the action. I think this is going to be just as great as the original series.

New series of Darker than Black makes me glad
Seeing that it continues with all of its awesomeness makes happy.
Seeing that it is only 12 episodes makes me slightly disappointed
The season had a good start nad makes me want for more
Let's just hope the rest of the series is as good as the first episode :-)
Talking about being only 12 episodes long, I think there's a better chance for them to make a good short sequel series than a long sequel series. Because there isn't nearly as much setup and explaining to do in the sequel compare to the original series. So it'd be much better compacting it down rather than stretching it out.
