[New April 2009] Eden of the East (東のエデン)

Info/Download: http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/1397.html
Genres: Mystery / Comedy / Drama
I've watched: 1 episode

Summary: When Saki Morimi is on her graduation trip in America, she ran into a naked man who lost his memory in front of the White House (!!). After a series of events, they end up going back to Japan together.

First impression score: 80 ~ Err.....

Personal comments: So many things in this first episode are just not right. I mean a naked man with a pistol, in front of the White House, somehow managed to evade police chase? And who would just give a naked guy his pants right on the street? As for somewhat who just lost his memory, he seems extremely calm. This is another work from the author of Honey and Clover. So regardless how outrageous it may seems at the moment, I still have faith in it to become a great story.

The coloring and lines looks similar to that of Spirited Away... don't you think?

Hm....I think it's more in line with Honey and Clover...since it's from the same author...

I think this'll be the seasons best series. Drawing style, characters and storyline seem awesome.

Yeah, this, plus Asura Cryin, Shangri-La, and Saki are my top picks for this season.

I have to say that this show is definitely my favorite of this season so far.

What makes me like this series so much is that it's rare to see so much attention to detail in anime. The animation is smooth, and the style fits the story. What really surprised me was that the English was actually correct and the use of English voices for the Americans. This really shows just how much work was done on details.

Well, the details may be correct, but there are other things I mention in my original post such as a naked man with a pistol on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House could somehow evade police chase just seem to be a bit too far-fetched.

The mysterious nature of the show is definitely attractive, but I would like it better if they can speed it up a little.
