[Dropped] Heroman: Ur...

Watched: 2 Episodes

What's wrong with it you ask? Well, let's see, the lightning that comes from the electric storm caused by alien's space jump has the power to turn a toy into complicated superhero robots. Do anybody feel this is a bit too far fetched to be believable even in a superhero cartoon? Seriously, who came up with this idea?

Then there's the character, I thought it'd be next to impossible to happen, but somehow, they manage to make an anime that all characters feels like they're acting!! I don't even know how they do that.

This, I'd say is officially the worst anime of the season, if not the year.

I would have to disagree with you about Heroman being the worst anime of the season. However, you would probably disagree with me when I say that I think Heroman is better than something like Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou. It's all a matter of taste.

I think the difference between you and me in terms of analyzing anime is that you are putting them up against an absolute scale, where I'm only comparing them within their category. Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou may be bad in an absolute scale, it actually measures quite well against other harem/ecchi animes.

On the other hand, however, I have to say the "acting" in Heroman is definitely the worst on an absolute scale. Regardless how bad the other animes are in terms of stories, characters at least feel natural. In Heroman, however, acts of characters feels just plain awkward. If it weren't for that, I'd probably give it a couple more episodes to see how it turns out.

The fact that you do not grade on an absolute scale was not apparent to me. It also makes more sense now.

I do have to admit that the voice acting in Heroman is awkward. However, this seems to only come out when they are lines using people's names. However the novelty of an American writer writing an anime set in an American setting to me is larger than the awkwardness of the voice acting at times.

It's not only the voice acting that bothers me, even though I can't quite tell what, the animation of the characters also looks somewhat awkward. Then there's the transformation scene with Heroman making the big O, which doesn't make sense what so ever (at least in other animes you can kind of tell why the characters were posing certain ways for their transformation). Combine that with substandard voice acting, I just couldn't stand it any more.
