Katanagatari: Still interesting, but...

Currently finished: Episode 4

Katanagatari is indeed a somewhat unique piece of work. However, at this point, I can help to feel that the story seems to be missing a "soul". The story is interesting and all, but at the same time, it feels all characters are very two dimensional (literally and figuratively).

The twist in the most recent episode might help a little. But really, if the story doesn't start to have some depth, I may soon just have to give up on it.

I agree that its a little 'flat' but it got my interest. i probably keep watching to the end. the only thing what i found to be a waste is, the story depth inducer they used in the first episode about our famous strategist past
